Project Overview
This project covers acoustic louvers supply and installation for cooling tower and refrigeration equipment rooms of Carrefour supermarket. The supermarket is adjacent to residential buildings, with original ventilation shutters causing severe noise complaints, exceeding environmental noise standard GB22337-2008. The construction period is 40 working days with night-shift operation to avoid business interruption.
Noise Problem
Original air outlet noise reaches 76-80dB(A), night noise at residential windows hits 58-61dB(A). Ordinary shutters cannot block sound while ventilation is essential for refrigeration units.
Solution & Product Spec
Custom Z-shape double-layer acoustic louvers with A-grade water-proof rock wool inside, 15-20dB noise reduction, low wind resistance, rainproof and anti-corrosion aluminum alloy surface matching building facade. All air inlet & outlet vents are replaced with acoustic louvers, all gaps sealed with acoustic sealant to eliminate sound leakage.
Construction & Result
All installation works carried out at night. After completion, noise near residential buildings drops to 46-49dB(A), fully meets environmental compliance standards. Cooling system runs normally without overheating. The acoustic louvers integrate well with building appearance, easy for later maintenance.
